Man arrested after 'bat incident' in street
Police have arrested a man in Hebburn after an incident with a bat.
Officers from Northumbria Police attended a house in Collingwood Street at 10.11am today after reports of a man thretening someone with a bat.
A 38-year-old was arrested on suspiscion of affray.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “At around 10.11am today (Friday, August 3) police received a report of a man believed to be threatening someone with a bat on Collingwood Street in Hebburn.
“Officers attended and a 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray. He remains in police custody at this time.”
