Man taken to hospital after getting his hand trapped in pallet truck in South Shields
A man has been taken to hospital after getting his hand trapped in an automated pallet truck.
Eight firefighters from South Sheilds fire station were called to Towers Place in the town shortly after 1.30pm.
They used hydraulic equipment to prise apart the mechanism and release the 45-year-old man's left hand.
It was bandaged by paramedics and he was taken to South Tyneside Hospital.
