Reports have surfaced that the Geordie Shore star will be entering the famous house when the show kicks off tomorrow.
The 24-year-old joined the MTV show, which follows a group of lads and lasses as they party in and around Newcastle, in 2013.
Marnie is the cousin of former Geordie Shore star Sophie Kasaei, who also hails from South Shields.
If the rumours are true, Marnie will be the third Geordie Shore cast member to appear on the celebrity version of the Channel 5 show.
Scott Timlin, better known as Scotty T, appeared last year, and Sunderland’s Charlotte Crosby the year before. Both won the audience’s votes to be crowned victorious on the show, and surely Marnie will be hoping to follow in their footsteps.
Fellow Geordie Vicky Pattison also has a showbiz show title under her belt, having been named Queen of the Jungle on last year’s I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here.
A host of famous faces are rumoured to be joining Marnie in the Celebrity Big Brother house.
Among the suggested contestants are Page 3 glamour girl Sam Fox, The Only Way Is Essex’s Lewis Bloor, Marnie’s former castmate and Vicky’s ex-boyfriend Stephen Bear, X Factor contestants Katie Waissell and Chloe Khan aka Chloe Mafia, actor Christopher Biggins, Mob Wives star Renee Graziano, Anthea Turner’s ex husband Grant Bovey, US singer Aubrey O’Day, Dog the Bounty Hunter’s crook-catching wife Beth Chapman, actress and comedian Helen Lederer, and Broadway star and half brother of singer Ariana Grande, Frankie Grande.
However, it’s being reported that there could still be some surprises on the night as the show’s producers are scrambling to find last-minute additions.
Marnie is known for her wild antics on Geordie Shore.
She has been in an on-again-off-again relationship with castmate Aaron Chalmers, but is believed to be currently single.
A spokesman for Celebrity Big Brother said they could not comment on the speculation that Marnie would be entering the house.
Geordie Shore were not available for comment.
CBB starts at 9pm on Thursday on Channel 5.
Geordie Shore was first broadcast in 2011 and was met with a mixed response from people living in the Tyneside area. It went on to become one of MTV’s biggest shows and aired its 13th series earlier this year, as well as a Big Birthday Battle which saw former stars return to the show to compete against each other by throwing parties.
