Newcastle linked with swoop for Chelsea midfielder
Newcastle United have been linked with a move for Chelsea midfielder Kasey Palmer.
The Daily Mail reports that Rafa Benitez's side are one of many clubs keen on a move for Palmer, with the Magpies' Premier League rivals thought to be looking to loan the youngster out this season.
Comfortable playing as a number ten or in a deeper midfield role, the Chelsea man has impressed during two recent loan spells.
Palmer, 21, spent the start of last season on loan at Huddersfield Town before then agreeing a temporary switch to Derby in January.
And he excelled at Pride Park, netting twice in 14 appearances while putting in a number of standout performances.
Sheffield United and Norwich City are also thought to be monitoring Palmer, who has made six appearances for England under-21s.
