The club is ready to break its transfer record to sign the 22-year-old.

But Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Stoke City are also interested in signing Berahino in this month's transfer window, according to Sky Sports.

However, West Brom are yet to receive a firm offer for the unsettled player.

Tottenham tried and failed to sign Berahino last summer, and West Brom's refusal to sell him prompted an angry backlash from the England Under-21 international.

The final decision on Berahino's future will lie with Hawthorns chairman Jeremy Peace.

Tony Pulis, the club's manager, said: "The chairman will decide whether Saido goes or stays.

"The chairman will make decisions, financially.

"As much as it's the player, it's the financial deal and like I say, we'll leave it with Jeremy to sort it."
