Newcastle United news: Benitez faces media ahead of Palace, Townsend on his reserve-team exile

Benitez believes his second-bottom side need to win their final three games to have a chance of staying in the Premier League.

But there was one question Pardew did NOT want to answer.

Pardew did reveal, however, that he had enlisted a high-profile coach to talk to his players about the dangers of complacency in the wake of the club's FA Cup semi-final win over Watford last weekend.

Meanwhile, Andros Townsend, signed from Tottenham Hotspur in January, has been talking about the club's relegation fight.

And the winger is "loving" being back on the pitch, having spent the last few months of his White Hart Lane career playing reserve-team football at non-league grounds.
