Newcastle United news: Benitez rules out signing, Pardew's evidence questioned
Rafa Benitez was today preparing his Newcastle United for the relegation-threatened club's visit to Carrow Road.
Benitez lost goalkeeper Rob Elliot to a season-ending injury on Tuesday night.
Karl Darlow is set to play in goal against Norwich City on Saturday after the club's manager ruled out bringing in a free agent.
Freddie Woodman will be on the bench, but the 19-year-old is ready for the Premier League, according to one former team-mate.
Benitez has been without many of his players over the past fortnight.
And the international break has been a frustration to Benitez, who is keen to make every second count at Newcastle.
Meanwhile, a tribunal considering ex-United winger Jonas Gutierrez's claim he suffered discrimination at the hands of the club has heard an allegation that his ex-boss Alan Pardew gave "untrue" evidence.
