The club has been involved in talks over moves for West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino and Tottenham Hotspur winger Andros Townsend this week.

But there has been no progress, and United are exploring other options, including Swansea City's Bafetimbi Gomis.

Meanwhile, midfielder Jack Colback says he's ready to fill in for Paul Dummett against Watford if the left-back fails to recover from a hamstring injury in time to line up at Vicarage Road.
