Newcastle United transfer news: Strike duo linked, Pardew eyes Shelvey, Wijnaldum step closer to exit?
The Magpies are in the hunt for at least one forward this summer, and two new names on the transfer rumours list are Nice's Alexandre Mendy and Wigan Athletic hotshot Will Grigg.
Mendy was mentioned as a potential target by French newspaper L'Equipe, but looks set to stay in France, while Grigg is currently on Northern Ireland duty at Euro 2016.

Pardew was a big admirer of Shelvey during his spell at St James's Park and tried to bring him to Tyneside.
Full details of the story can be found here.
Meanwhile, reports in Italy continue to link Georginio Wijnaldum with a move to Serie A, with Roma showing the main interest.
Real Madrid's reluctance to send Mateo Kovacic out on loan next season, means Roma are in the market for an attacking midfielder, and Dutchman Wijnaldum - understood to want a move from Newcastle after just one season at the club - is their No 1 target.
