The 30-year-old had surgery early this year after suffering a groin injury in December, and he’s just relieved to be back fit ahead of the all-important run-in.

“I know I’ve had injuries. I need to work hard with the physios. They do a good job.

Cisse has been working overtime over the past fortnight to be ready for the game against Norwich, who are three points ahead of second-bottom Newcastle.
Asked how fit he was, Cisse added: “I’m very, very good. I feel good.
“I’m here and I have a chance to train all week (during the international break).”
Cisse is looking to impress new manager Rafa Benitez.
