Part of South Shields car park to be closed off as engineers make checks

Motorists are being warned a South Shields car park will be closed off on Sunday and into Monday.

South Tyneside Council has said it is advising residents and visitors of the partial closure of Salem Street car park, in the town centre.

It will be partially closed on the evening of Sunday until the following afternoon.

Eight bays in the 34-space car park will be cordoned off while an engineering survey is carried out on behalf of Nexus.
