Today marks 100 days since the beginning of the coronavirus lockdown that has transformed the way we live our lives.
On March 23 the Government enforced strict rules in a bid to curb the spread of the virus and dictated when we could leave our homes, the businesses that could remain open and the people we could see.
Now as lockdown remeasures are eased in line with the fall in cases and deaths, we reflect on moments ranging from the Clap For Our Carers and communities rallying together to the dedication of frontline workers and the reopening of businesses.

5. Quiet beaches during lockdown
Coronavirus lockdown measures saw very few people visit beaches apart from taking their daily exercise. With car parks closed during the first months of lockdown, the likes of Sandhaven Beach which was pictured above in April, remained quiet. Photo: Stu Norton

6. Good Friday at Colmans, Ocean Road
As strict lockdown measures continued over the Easter weekend, the normally heaving Colmans on Ocean Road in South Shields remained closed to customers on Good Friday. Photo: Stu Norton

7. Supermarket gesture to wedding couple
Throughout the pandemic there have been numerous acts of kindness in the community. One touching story was the moment South Shields couple James Johnson, left, and Stew Fox, were presented with the gifts from Morrisons staff who had learned that they were shopping on what should have been their wedding day.
