15 pictures from South Shields seafront and parks as lockdown measures eased
As the strict lockdown measures of the last eight weeks were eased slightly on Wednesday, people could be seen enjoying the likes of seafront takeaways and sitting in the park.
The Government has continued to urge people to stay at home as much as possible and limit contact with others in a bid to tackle the spread of coronavirus, but from this week people tare now able to exercise freely and to meet up with one other person at a time outside of their household – provided they keep the two metre distance.
