Beautiful drone footage shows dolphins off South Shields coast

Joojhaar Singh, who lives in the town and works as a dental surgeon for the NHS, was out doing a spot of filming with his twin brother Harjote – a pharmacist – on Sunday, June 21, and was lucky enough to see the animals in action.

He told the Gazette: “We both enjoy photography and like to go out to the coast on weekend when we get time.

“I think Sunday was our lucky day, first time we’ve seen the dolphins in South Shields and what a magnificent show we were treated to.”

The striking drone footage follows numerous sightings of dolphins in the North East in recent weeks, with Gazette reader Stu Thompson sharing some fantastic pictures, also taken on Sunday.
