The mulicoloured light system at Colmans Seafood Temple has been become a symbol of solidarity during the COVID-19 crisis.

The hospitality industry has been hit hard by social distancing restrictions in place to limit the spread of the virus, but restaurateur Richard Colman said he wanted to do his bit to lift people’s spirits at this time and will be lighting the structure every night during lockdown.

He said: “I thought of the idea to light up Colman’s Seafood Temple to show our support to our NHS and key workers as the work they are doing at the minute is to be commended. I hope this just brings a smile to people as they drive past during these unprecedented times.
