Crowds flock to South Shields seafront as temperatures soar
Our photographer Stu Norton was out and about at Sandhaven Beach to capture these great shots of people having fun at the seaside.
After a warm spring, the rest of the summer has been a mixed bag of weather, so when temperatures soared to more than 25C across the region on Friday most people were determined to soak up the rays with friends and family.
Have a look through our gallery and see if you can spot yourself or anyone you know
