It was a scorching day across South Tyneside on Friday, July 31, and families made sure to make the most of it as they headed to the seafront to enjoy a day in the sun.
After a warm spring, the rest of the summer has been a mixed bag of weather, so when temperatures soared to more than 25C across the region on Friday most people were determined to soak up the rays with friends and family.
