As reported in March, the Boldon postman wanted to bring a bit of cheer to families during lockdown. And his fantastic outfits have found him a new best friend in five-year-old Macey, who has started donning her own fancy dress as a daily surprise for Jon. Dad Scott Willis, 31, said seeing Jon is the best part of his daughter’s day and that the pair have become firm friends – even managing to match their outfits on some visits. 1. Pirate day
Macey, five, lives in Boldon with her dad Scott, mum Jackie and brother Ryan, 12. She has been dressing up every day for Jon's visit for around a month.

2. Thumbs up
Macey's dad Scott praised Jon for cheering up the community and said: "I am over the moon for Macey because it really makes her day when Jon knocks on the door."

3. Friends
Scott said that his daughter a Jon - a dad-of-two himself - have formed a friendship during the coronavirus lockdown. Jon has become friends with the whole family, and makes sure he says Macey every day on his route.

4. Full of smiles
Macey started dressing up after drawing Jon a picture to say how much seeing his fancy dress made her smile. Since then, parents Scott and Jackie have been inundated with offers of dress-up outfits so Macey can continue the trend alongside Jon.
