Dance partner's praise for South Shields comedian Chris Ramsey after latest Strictly performance
Strictly Come Dancing professional Karen Hauer has praised her partner comedian Chris Ramsey for his progress on the show as the couple were voted through to the competition’s Musical Week special.
Dad-of-one Chris was left stunned during Strictly’s results show, which aired on Sunday, November 24, as he and Karen were confirmed as through to the quarter-finals.
The South Shields comedian, who scored just 13 marks in the first live show of the series, is yet to fall in the show’s bottom two and has repeatedly thanked the public for their unwavering support so far.
And as the results show aired, showing Chris and Karen wildly celebrating surviving another week, the professional dancer took to social media to pay tribute to her partner.
In a touching post on Instagram, Karen said: “If you would have asked me on week one if I thought Chris Ramsey was gonna make the quarter final I would have giggled, but back then I didn’t know how hard this boy from South Shields was going to work.
“I’m so proud of your commitment to this show, learning words like ‘kick ball change’ and ‘botafogo as well as actually dancing them!
“Sometimes you’re a tricky customer to teach but when you dance like you did on Saturday it makes it all worthwhile.
“For a man who has never danced and avoids the dancefloor, To a man who has started to tell stories through dance.
“You’re truly what Strictly is about.”
The Strictly Come Dancing final is set to take place on Saturday, December 14 with three couples taking part.
