A South Shields rapper hoping to make a name for himself in the music industry has released a music video filmed in his hometown.

Taher Hussain, who goes by the performing name TRIXX, has released the music video for his latest track ‘Stakes’ on YouTube which has been met by a raft of praise online.

Now he has starred in an impressive music video created by Nathan Glendinning of ‘Nath Glen Film,’ which he hopes will catch the eyes of record labels and those in the industry.

Taher, who works as a waiter at South Shields restaurant Lasun, said: “The music video was shot in South Shields and features locations such as King Street, Ocean Road and the Waters Edge car park.

"It was also filmed in The Plug Barber Shop owned by Shaun Rundle.

Taher Hussain, known as rapper TRIXX, has released a music video shot in South Shields.

He continued: “In the run-up to its release everybody was hyped up and asking me when the video was coming out.

"It has since had so much recognition and everyone is on board.

"The track is about my family background and the story of where I have come from."
