Staff and residents at Palmersdene Care Home in Jarrow are delighted the group were awarded the honour at the LaingBuisson Awards.

Anchor Hanover England’s largest not-for-profit provider of housing and care for people in later life, was recognised nationally for its excellence in providing residential care for older people and its focus on innovation and engagement with residents.

Anchor Hanover’s Director of Care Quality, Cath Holmes said: “We are absolutely delighted to have won the LaingBuisson Large Residential Care Provider of the year award.
