Chief executive, Paul Oliver, said: “We were delighted when Jade approached us with the offer to give us proceeds from sales of her new clothing venture.

“Jade wanted to support a local charity from her hometown and the money will go directly towards our work in providing food, shelter and a future to vulnerable and homeless people in South Tyneside.”

Over the course of the pandemic, the charity has reported a surge in demand for its service – with its foodbank feeding double the amount of people compared to the same period in 2019.

Mr Oliver said: “Since the outbreak of the pandemic in early March, our foodbank has fed over 2,000 people, which is double that of the same time last year and demand is continuing.
