The 27-year-old is set to appear via video-link for Saturday's show where she will continue in her role as mentor alongside bandmates Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock.

A statement released by the production team of Little Mix: The Search on Thursday, October 21, said: “Jade has to self-isolate this week and will therefore be carrying out her role as mentor on Little Mix The Search from home.

“For this Saturday’s show, Jade will participate via video-link, continuing to mentor alongside Jesy, Leigh-Anne and Perrie.”

Six bands are due to compete for a place on the pop group's 2021 tour, following weeks of pre-recorded audition episodes.

BBC confirmed the postponement in a statement which said: “We can confirm that a small number of people on the Little Mix The Search production have tested positive for coronavirus and they are now self-isolating following the latest government guidelines.
