Ellie Brown was one of the first cast members to appear on Celebrity Ex on The Beach when it aired on MTV on Tuesday, January 21.

The 21-year-old appeared on Love Island nearly two years ago. But she split with her love from the villa, millionaire Charlie Brake, and had since had a romantic interest in TOWIE star Joey Essex.

The Essex lad is also appearing on this series of the MTV show and it came as a shock to him when Ellie emerged from the sea.

Since that announcement, viewers have seen Ellie date Olympian Ashley Mckenzie and witnessed a couple of heated conversations between her and Joey.

In one chat she said: “Coming in here, you were the only person that I knew and I don’t feel like you’ve been a mate to me at all.”

Despite saying in her VT: "I wanted to make a go of it but then Joey went on holiday and I nearly really heard from him after. Maybe we could rekindle something."

On January 21, before the show aired, The Sun Online revealed that Ellie and fellow Love Islander Michael Griffiths had got together in 2019 after filming.

Michael told The Sun: “Ellie and I did form a good bond on the show. The relationship we built was unbelievable.

“To have someone as amazing as her in my life means so much. I'm head over heels and I'm not letting her go.”

This is the eleventh series of the show after series ten was cancelled following the tragic death of Love Island’s Mike Thalassitis.
