The annual campaign’s theme for 2021 is named Pets and People: Caring For Each Other and encourages pet owners to share how their animal has helped them through a difficult 12 months.
Each year, the campaign works to promote responsible pet ownership and share the benefits of our treasured pet companions.
Dozens of readers got in touch with us on social media to post their precious photographs and tell us a little bit about their pets. Here are some of your stories.

5. Abbie

6. Charlie
Andrea Field said: "Charlie has helped me keep to a semi routine, he needs to be fed, he needs to be walked twice a day. I've tried to keep positive but on wobble days he snuggles close as he just knows. He makes me laugh at his antics and is a brilliant ice breaker when we pass other dog walkers." Photo: Andrea Field

7. Reggie
Ash Kay said: "My beagle Reggie hasn’t helped me one bit,. He's naughty, greedy and has selective hearing. He rolls in poo and destroys the bin, he gives me anxiety but I wouldn’t change him." Photo: Ash Kay

8. Twix
Matthew Anderson said: "Twix loves being inside her bed. She was four years old in the middle of March but as cheeky as ever.” Photo: Matthew Anderson
