Outpouring of love for South Shields mam Janet Robe who lost battle with Covid aged just 52
Janet Robe, from Whiteleas, passed away at South Tyneside District Hospital with her family by her side on January 22 after a short battle with coronavirus.
The mum-of-two was diagnosed with Covid-19 on January 6 and as her condition deteriorated in the days that followed, she was taken to hospital and placed on a ventilator.

Hide AdJanet, who suffered from autoimmune disease and asthma, was cared for by a devoted medical team in the intensive care unit but sadly lost her brave fight.
The 52-year-old was well known for her charitable work across South Tyneside, supporting the likes of Hebburn Helps and the Key Project.
Her family shared Janet’s story in the hope of raising awareness of the dangers of Covid-19 as they urged those in the borough to follow the rules.
Since then tributes to Janet have poured in on the Gazette’s Facebook page, with those in the community sending messages of support to her family as they come to terms with their tragic loss.
