The 'scary' new residents cropping up in South Shields during lockdown - how many have you spotted?

Some new characters have been taking up residence in the town during the coronavirus lockdown.

The inaugural Westoe Crown Scarecrow Festival – which launched as a result of the lockdown measures – has been keeping people busy over the last few weeks while they stay safe at home.

Taking place from Friday, May 8 to Monday, May 25, impressive creations have been popping up in gardens in the Westoe Crown Estate and beyond.

Some have even been inspired by the current situation (see Lockdown Lil) while Nurse Polly gives a nod to the 75th anniversary of VE Day celebrations last week.

And Donald Trump and Bob Marley even make an appearance.
