See the amazing creations in South Shields grandfather's spectacular Christmas wonderland

A grandfather-of-five has created a Christmas light extravaganza to raise cash for a children's cancer charity this festive season.

Stan Yannetta has spent the last three weeks decking out his Heaton Garden's home on Benton Road.

The Christmas display, which was officially lit up on Sunday, December 1, includes a 10ft Christmas tree, snow machine, dozens of inflatable characters and thousands of LED lights.

Visitors are expected to travel from far and wide to see his display and have their photo taken with Santa (aka Stanta), with all donations going to raise money for the Young Lives vs Cancer trust.

Have you been along to see it yet?
