Snap a selfie with your favourite South Tyneside landmark for a chance to win £30 of high street vouchers

From today (Monday, May 17) indoor hospitality and entertainment - including cinemas, museums, and children’s play areas - can reopen, and we can reconnect with friends and family in groups of up to 30 people outdoors.

So let’s all get outside and celebrate our favourite things about South Tyneside

To coincide with this latest easing of restrictions – and 172 years of telling the borough’s stories – the Gazette wants to bring you into the picture … literally.

We are launching our My Local Landmark competition today, and we would love you to get involved.

From churches to chippies, statues to street art, we’re ready to see the history of South Tyneside through your eyes. So get out there and snap those selfies!

Here’s how to take part:

*Take a selfie at your favourite South Tyneside landmark – which you think represents our history – and email it to [email protected] with the subject ‘My Local Landmark’

*Include your full name, email address, the landmark’s name and tell us why it is your favourite
