But the demand for the lessons has soared and now he is getting followers in China, the United States, South Africa and Canada as well as all over the UK.
Stuart is a professional ballroom and Latin American dance teacher and explained: “It was originally designed for my own dancers and I teach everyone from children aged 18 months to people aged 93.
“It is aimed at both beginners and people who have danced before, for them to give it a bash.

Because the styles of dancing taught by Stuart usually involve a partner, Stuart is urging people under lockdown to ‘dance round with brooms and mops and just forget about what is happening in the world for an hour.”
The one-hour sessions on social media have become so popular, he has started running them twice a week.
They are free and can be found in Facebook at quarantine cha cha cha.
