Plans for new South Shields coffee shop in former loans shop
Plans for a new coffee shop in South Shields have been lodged with council planners.
Earlier this month, a ‘change of use’ bid was submitted for 199 Prince Edward Road.
This includes a mixed use space selling hot and cold beverages both on and off the premises.
The building was last occupied by loans shop ‘Loans2go’ but has been vacant for several months.
The applicant bringing the coffee shop plan forward is also listed in planning documents as Mehmet Demir.
A decision is expected by South Tyneside Council early next year.
Public comments are open on the plans until January 10.
