South Shields MP thanks 'lovely' older people on visit for looking after each other during the pandemic
Emma Lewell-Buck MP visited Aldywch House, to meet residents and hear their experiences of the pandemic.
The complex, which houses 24 flats, and is owned and managed by local housing association Karbon Homes, and heard how older residents have coped through the pandemic.

Hide AdShe met residents Warren and Lorna who have lived at the scheme for 12 years.
Emma Lewell-Buck MP said: “I want to say a special thank you to the Karbon team who have gone above and beyond in the pandemic, looking after those constituents who have no family support or were lonely and isolated.
"I also want to thank my lovely constituents in Aldwych House who pulled together and helped each other, through one of the worst of times they have shown the best of who they are. I am very proud of them and the team at Karbon."
Paul Fiddaman, Karbon Homes chief executive, who hosted the visit, said: “We were delighted to show Emma around Aldwych House and for her to meet with our colleagues and residents.
