Rafa Benitez reveals his thoughts on the January transfer window

Rafa Benitez says Newcastle United are weighing up their options ahead of the January transfer window.

The club signed 12 players in the summer, and sold a clutch of big names, in the wake of relegation from the Premier League.

And Newcastle manager Benitez hasn't ruled out more transfer activity in the New Year.

"We are doing our job trying to find the right players," said Benitez, speaking ahead of Sunday's game against Leeds United at Elland Road.

"We have 26 players available now, but the reality is we don't need too many.

"We have to see if there are players in the positions we need."
