Remembering Plesseys: South Shields factory workers hold reunion

Former employees at Plesseys, in South Shields, had a get-together recently.

Thanks to one of the organisers, Lynda (Tyrie) Lamb, here’s a selection of photos from the reunion night, which was held at Brigham’s Club.

Lynda said: “There were about 60 people there, which we were delighted with.

“There were lots of laughs, with people guessing who was who.

“Some people had never changed - well, apart from getting older.

“They said they were definitely up for another get-together, maybe next year, when I’m sure even more people will turn up.

“We have had loads of messages thanking us for organising the night.”

The other organisers were Fran (Kane) Manson and Ann (Morgan) Blacklock.
