Review: Arctic Monkeys, Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle

North East fans of the Arctic Monkeys didn't disappoint - Newcastle was buzzing and bouncing as the Sheffield lads rocked the city.

In the first of two gigs at Metro Radio Arena last night, they played a perfect combination of new tracks from their latest album Tranquillity Base Hotel and Casino and old favourites.

And as you'd imagine, the crowd went crazy for Don't Sit Down 'cause I've Moved Your Chair; Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor and Snap Out of It.

Charismatic frontman Alex Turner looked better than good in a red zip-up jacket with A. Turner written on the left shoulder and Monkeys emblazoned in gold on the back.

If I'd seen one for sale I'd have been tempted.

R U Mine was the perfect end to a gig that delivered on every level.

The Monkeys kicked off the night with Four (stars) Out of Five......this is easy, it's a five out of five from me.
