
Officers have been spotted in Grange Road West earlier today after a man was found unconscious in the street.The road was cordoned off as officers carried out a search of the area.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “At 6.57am police received a report from the ambulance service after a man was found unconscious on Grange Road in Jarrow.

“Emergency services attended the scene and the man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
“Inquiries are ongoing to establish how the man sustained the injuries but it is believed they could be the result of a fall."
