Lengthy new roadworks have started in Sea Road, South Shields.

Monkton Terrace, Jarrow: Temporary traffic signals for bridge inspection, until January 10, 2019, 9.30-3.30.

Sunderland Road, South Shields: Temporary traffic signals for gas mains investigation works, October 1-12.

Harton Lane: Temporary traffic signals for gas mains replacement, October 8-21.

Hardie Drive: Road closure for carriageway reconstruction, October 1-15.

Tynemouth Road: Road closure for telecommunications works, October 8-10 and October 17-19.

Tynemouth Road, Jarrow: Road closure for telecommunications works, October 8-10 and October 17-19.

Boldon Lane, South Shields (Beattie Street to Stoddard Street): Road closure from 8am to 6pm for carriageway resurfacing works. Sunday, October 7, and Sunday, October 14.

Crossgate: Priority working, give and take signs for carriageway works, until October 28.

Sea Road: Temporary traffic signals for major highway improvement works, until December 14.

Front Road: Road closure for carriageway resurfacing works, until October 21.

Mill Lane: Temporary traffic signals for flood elevation works, until October 14.

Marsden Road: Temporary traffic signals for trial holes, until October 18.

Garden Lane: Road closure for carriageway works, until October 12, 11pm-6am.

Coronation Street: Road closure for resurfacing works, October 15-19, 11.30pm-7am.

Medway Avenue: Road closure for carriageway resurfacing, October 17-19.

Rear of Percy’s Street and Raglan Street: Road closure for carriageway resurfacing works, October 18-19.
