Sam Allardyce: I'm too busy with transfers to go to Euro 16

Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce says he's too busy working on improving Sunderland's squad to go to Euro 16.

The Black Cats boss, who manages an England side against the Rest of the World tonight for Soccer Aid, has begun working through an extensive list of transfer targets.

And the work he needs to do means he'll be staying at home this summer, rather than travelling to France to watch the European Championships.

“I’ll be watching [Euro 2016] on the TV,” he told Talksport. “I’m not actually going out there. I’m busy trying to improve the squad.

“The end of the season was a great relief for us all at Sunderland. My job now is to strengthen the squad as much as possible to make sure we’re not fighting relegation again.”
