Search for two men after attempted break in on South Shields estate

Two men who tried to break into a house during broad daylight are being hunted by police.

The burglary happened at 4.15pm on Tuesday, February 23, in Froude Avenue, Biddick Hall, South Shields.

Two men attempted to burgle a house in the street.

The first offender is described as white, 5ft 10in tall, aged in his late 30s, was skinny build and had messy blond hair.

He is described as having a poor complexion with scars

He was wearing a black coloured jumper with a large letter 'H' in the centre.

The second offender is described as white, approximately 25-years-old, 5ft 9ins to 5ft 10ins tall, of medium build, with short dark hair and unshaven.

He was wearing a grey hoody.

Officers are carrying out inquiries and are appealing for witnesses.
