Simon Grayson reacts to coin-throwing incident in Newcastle's win at Preston


DeAndre Yedlin claimed he had a coin thrown at him while he was getting treatment late in the club's 2-1 victory over Preston North End.
The Newcastle defender – who was not hurt by the 20p coin which was aimed at him – took to Twitter after the match.

Hide AdYedlin tweeted: "Hard fought battle today. Good to come away with another 3 points. Thanks to the fans for the incredible support!
"And to whoever threw the coin at me ... thanks for the 20 pence."
Preston manager Grayson was asked about the incident after the game.
"You don't like to see anything like that in any football match," said Grayson. "Hopefully, we can deal with it in the manner it deserves to be dealt with."

Hide AdGrayson was also unhappy with referee Chris Kavanagh, who didn't award a penalty when United substitute appeared to push scorer Jermaine Beckford in injury time.
"The referee said to me at the end if he's got it wrong, he will apologise," said Grayson. "Well, that's no good to us now!
"I understand it's a tough role to do, but that's a clear penalty there in the last minute.
"Jermaine wouldn't go down if he's got an opportunity like that. It's cost us from getting anything out the game.

"We didn't get the breaks with the opportunity for two penalties. You get those breaks when you're at the top of the division."
