Singing up for Big Sam as Irish band perform song in honour of Sunderland boss

The Corrigan Brothers rose to fame with their song There's No One As Irish as Barack Obama and have previously created The Tinkerman in praise of Leicester City's manager Claudio Ranieri and Vincent Tan What a Man for Cardiff City's majority stakeholder.
Now they have given Sam Allardyce the tribute treatment with Thank You Big Sam.

Guitarist Brian Corrigan said: "Sam still enjoys legendary status in our hometown of Limerick and we felt he deserved to be celebrated with a song."
The band wrote and recorded the song after Sunderland defeated Chelsea and hope Black Cats fans will enjoy it as they celebrate tonight's 3-0 win over Everton.
Brian added: "We knew after the Chelsea game that Sunderland would stay up so went straight to the studio and wrote and recorded the song."

Thank You Big Sam
October 15

His job was to save us from going down
He organised us like only he can
A Sunderland legend his name is big Sam
chorus

Toor a loo toor a loo
Toor a loo toor a lam
We're premier league
Thank you Big Sam
Oh what a run it proved to be
We beat the champions the mighty Chelsea
Big Sam what a leader he ran the show
and what a legend Jermaine Defoe

Toor a loo toor a loo
Toor a loo toor a lam
