South Shields family make plea to track down missing cat

A worried family have issued a plea for help to track down their mischievous moggy who has gone missing from home for the second time in as many years.

Cute pet Oliver hasn’t been seen since wandering away from his home in Suffolk Gardens, Marsden, South Shiedls, in the early hours of Friday, June 3.

His owners captured the feline’s last movements on CCTV from their home but are growing concerned that he is yet to resurface.

The Ragdoll cross cat went walk-abouts for five weeks last year - sparking a social media campaign by his owners to locate him.

He was eventually discovered in Boldon five weeks later and his worried owners are eager to be reunited for a second time.

Owner Christine Crutwell, 54, said: “He is really missed by me, my husband and our daughter all miss him very much, as well as his brother cat Theo.

“He is white, with ginger tips on his ear and tail and has a shaved right rear leg from an operation he had a couple of weeks ago.

“He has a red collar and is micro-chipped.

“I would ask anyone who has spotted him to get in touch.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Mrs Crutwell on 07776178718.
