South Shields FC have initially been allocated 6,300 tickets for its supporters when they take to the hallowed turf on May 21 in the FA Vase final.

There could, however, be another batch of tickets on offer after thousands of fans started snapping them up.

Officials at the national stadium have changed their website to show South Shields fans being accommodated in a bigger area of the ground.

However, at the moment there is no official comment on whether this will mean more tickets for Mariners fans.

It is anticipated the issue will be clarified in the next few days.

South Shields secured their place at Wembley with a 4-0 second leg win over Coleshill Town.

Goals from Julio Arca, Gavin Cogdon, Carl Finnigan and David Foley gave Shields a comfortable victory, which saw them take the tie 6-1 on aggregate.

Now they face Cleethorpes Town in the final.

Here’s everything you need to know about the game.

* When is the final?

The game will take place at Wembley on Sunday May 21 and will be part of this seasons ‘Non-League Finals Day’, which will also see York City take on Macclesfield in the FA Trophy final. The Vase final between Shields and Cleethorpes kicks off at 12.15pm. Sunderland play Chelsea across London at 4pm in their final Premier League game. Some SAFC fans are looking at watching the Vase game first before darting over to Stamford Bridge.

* How do I get tickets?

Tickets can be purchased online at www.ticketing.thefa.com or from the FA ticket office, which can be reached at 0844 826 2010. A small allocation of tickets will also be sold by the club. Prices are fixed at £25 for adults, £10 for concessions and just £1 for children. How many tickets will South Shields get?

The club currently has an allocation of 6,300 tickets. However, this allocation is naturally going very quickly, with about 4,500 believed to have been sold already. However, the club are hoping to increase their allocation. Hereford Town took 20,000 fans to Wembley last year for their big day against Morpeth Town and many people are predicting Shields will have a five-figure following too.
