Along with other stall holders they will be showcasing their handmade goods for sale from 10am until 3pm.

Monies raised at their stall will be ploughed back into the group to help them continue their knitted projects.

In the past they have created a knitted zoo, knitted shop and more recently knitted harvest festival baskets.

The group is run by Janet Wylie. She said: “All the members who attend the group love taking part in the projects.

“And it’s lovely when we are able to hand the finished project over to the children.

“We recently knitted a substantial amount of merchandise for Children in Need which was donated to Westoe Crown school to their delight.

“The feed back from them was they had raised a significant amount of money for Children In Need and they were also keeping some of the teddies so that they could hold Pudsey Bear Teddy hunts each year.

“All money raised on the our stall on Sunday will help us to continue to fund our projects.”

The craft group meets on Fridays at Talbot Road Methodist Church.
