South Shields Museum to host Scifair event

Science fiction fans can get together at a fun Easter event.

Scifair will hit South Shields Museum and Art Gallery in Ocean Road tomorrow - not today as previously reported.

The event will run from noon to 3.30pm featuring stalls selling toys, autographs, jewellery, collectables and memorabilia from popular science fiction and fantasy shows such as Star Wars, Doctor Who and Star Trek.

People attending the event are invited to go along in costume and be part of a group photograph.

Sellers from from all over the country to share their collections with like-minded fans. Entry is free.

The museum is open to visitors from 11am until 4pm.
