Stuart Urwin, Poss Tub’s managing director, said: “When the new owners of Sunlite took over, there were thousands of pounds worth of duvets and bedding which hadn’t been picked up by customers over the years.
“They had been in protected storage, and the new owners decided they wanted us to nominate charities who would benefit from a portion of them.
“It’s especially good at this time of year for charities.
“The charities we nominated were over the moon with the donations, and couldn’t thank us enough for choosing them.

Mr Urwin said it gave him great satisfaction to know how vital the donations will prove to be in the months ahead.

“We know they’re going to make a big difference.
“We run a charity, too, so we already do our bit, but it was humbling to help out this way as well.”
