South Tyneside school hit by burglars twice in one month

A police appeal has been launched after a South Tyneside school was hit twice by burglars in a month.

Thieves first broke into St James RC Junior School in Solway Road, Hebburn on Wednesday November 16.

Cash and cheques were stolen from an office in the school. It happened at around 9.20pm.

The school was broken into a second time on Monday November 21 at 7pm.

This time, nothing was stolen.
