Spaces not the problem

I was pleased to read the article about STDH creating 39 additional parking spaces, but surely there's a zero missing off the end and it should read 390.

This is going to make no difference whatsoever to the already gridlocked streets like Harton Lane, Nora Street, Talbot Road surrounding the hospital site. I watch the staff park at 8am and leave their cars all day.

This has nothing to do with spaces, it’s to do with having to pay to park to go to work. This goes for visitors, on Saturdays and Sundays, when car parks are almost empty they still park in our streets, and walk rather than pay the exorbitant charges.

The new 80-bed elderly care centre due to open shortly, where is its car park? Will they have to find another street?
