St Clare's Hospice seeking new volunteer to help HR team

A hospice in South Tyneside is on the lookout for a new specialist volunteer.

St Clare’s Hospice, in Jarrow, is hoping to recruit a skilled and experienced human resources volunteer to help with a range of administrative tasks.

The hospice, based in Primrose Terrace, provides specialist palliative care and support to people with life-limiting illnesses and their families, and currently has 200 active volunteers.

Their ideal candidate will be self-disciplined, organised and motivated, with excellent communication and IT skills.

They will provide general human resources administrative support to the charity’s HR advisor.

St Clare’s Hospice HR advisor Michelle Middlemas said: “This is a brand new role for us here at the hospice and we’re hoping to find a brilliant volunteer to support our HR team.

“The role is really diverse, from assisting with telephone calls and emails, to placing job advertisements internally and externally and processing new volunteer and staff application forms.

“It’s a great role with lots of potential.
