The hospice, based in Primrose Terrace, provides specialist palliative care and support to people with life-limiting illnesses and their families, and currently has 200 active volunteers.

Their ideal candidate will be self-disciplined, organised and motivated, with excellent communication and IT skills.

They will provide general human resources administrative support to the charity’s HR advisor.

St Clare’s Hospice HR advisor Michelle Middlemas said: “This is a brand new role for us here at the hospice and we’re hoping to find a brilliant volunteer to support our HR team.

“The role is really diverse, from assisting with telephone calls and emails, to placing job advertisements internally and externally and processing new volunteer and staff application forms.

“It’s a great role with lots of potential.

“Volunteering is a fantastic way to utilise and develop your skills, meet new people and give something back to your local community.

“Whether you have a personal connection to St Clare’s and want to support our work or have retired and want to do something fulfilling in your spare time, whatever your reasons for getting involved, we’d love to hear from you.”
