Stoke City v Sunderland AFC team news: Injured Lamine Kone among three changes for Potters clash

David Moyes made three changes to his Sunderland AFC side for the game at Stoke City- with Lamine Kone among the trio of injured players missing out.

The Ivory Coast international has not recovered from a hamstring injury suffered on international duty, while Jan Kirchhoff (hamstring) and Jason Denayer also miss out through injury.

In come Papy Djilobodji, Patrick van Aanholt and Jack Rodwell to the Sunderland side.

Sunderland are bottom of the Premier League and without a win while Stoke City are only a point and one place better off.

Manchester City loanee Denayer is out with an adductor muscle injury and is expected to be out for a couple of weeks.

Sunderland have a chronic injury list at the moment.

Vito Mannone, Seb Larsson, Fabio Borini, Lee Cattermole, Jan Kirchhoff and Adnan Januzaj are all out injured.

Jermain Defoe is supported by Wahbi Khazri and Duncan Watmore, while Steven Pienaar and Victor Anichebe return from injury to make the bench.
