Sunderland and Newcastle face Darlington pre-season friendlies

Sunderland and Newcastle will send sides to face non-league Darlington in pre-season.

The Black Cats and Magpies will field line-ups that will predominantly be composed of their Under-21 squads, as the Quakers play their first games back in Darlington for four years.

Darlington - now in the Conference North - have been playing their home games at Bishop Auckland, but the two pre-season friendlies will take place at the town's Northern Echo Arena.

Newcastle will travel to Darlington on Saturday, July 16 (kick-off 3pm) while Sunderland will face the Quakers three days later on Tuesday, July 19 (kick-off 7.30pm).

Tickets for both games are priced at £10 for adults and £6 for concessions.
